Nancy O'Dell's radio career started as an anchor and journalist for WPDE-TV Myrtle beach, South Carolina. In the following years, she worked as a morning-news anchor and crime report at WCBD TV. In Charleston O'Dell's stories regarding the police's lenient approach towards DUI cases caused the launch of a State Law Enforcement Division investigation that resulted in State authorities issuing the strictest guidelines regarding DUI cases. In the year 2000, Associated Press awarded Ms. O'Dell her Best Report of the year award for every aspect of South Carolina media. Following her stint in Charleston, O'Dell worked as a co-anchor for NBC's Miami Station WTVJ-TV and as an investigative journalist. Then she joined Access Hollywood to work as an anchor on weekends and weekdays. O'Dell is the anchor of choice for Access Hollywood. In addition, she contributes for NBC News Today and Dateline NBC. The anchor has hosted a number of pre-shows and arrivals shows for The Emmys as well as The Golden Globe Awards. Other co-hosting credits include Miss USA, the Miss USA pageant, and Miss Universe.
